Learn everything you need to know about becoming a teacher in Mission City. It’s why we’re here.
At TEACH San Antonio, we envision a world where all kids have access to great educators.
Why? Because teachers matter. In fact, teacher quality is the #1 in-school factor that affects student learning—and qualified teachers make a lifelong impact.
And Texas needs more qualified educators. Statewide, uncertified teachers filled over 10 percent of teaching positions in 2024, according to a Texas Education Agency report.
What does it mean for you? It means you can make a big impact as a teacher in San Antonio.
Our mission is to end the statewide teacher shortage and help talented people from all backgrounds enter the profession.
We're here to find and support the next generation of teachers and ensure San Antonio’s students have the teachers they deserve.

TEACH San Antonio launched in September 2024, as a partnership between City Education Partners and TEACH.org, in collaboration with national and local funders. We’re proud to be leading the way to find the next generation of great teachers for San Antonio. This initiative is made possible thanks to our generous philanthropic funders.
TEACH.org began in 2015 with clear goals: Reduce the national teacher shortage, elevate the image of the teaching profession and support anyone interested in becoming a teacher. TEACH has since grown into one of the nation’s largest and most effective teacher recruitment organizations.
